Textile and ceramic sector

With the entry into force of the Anti-Smuggling Law (1762 of July 6, 2015), precedents have been set to toughen the institutional fight against criminal structures that promote irregular merchandise trade. Among the points to be highlighted are: the increase in penalties and sanctions, the increase in criminal types, the unification of sanctioning regimes in relation to the consumption tax on liquor and cigarettes, changes in the commercial regime so that companies and its auditors report suspicious activities, the strengthening of entities that participate in merchandise inspections (DIAN, POLFA, UIAF, INVIMA, ICA), and finally, the creation of an Inter-institutional Commission to regulate these issues.
